Topics to be Covered:

The purpose of this two-day course is to improve confidence when assessing and treating patients with neck issues. After performing a cervical scan and ROM testing, many new therapists are often unsure of when and how to assess the biomechanics of the neck and how to combine assessment findings with manual therapy and useful exercise interventions to maximize treatment outcomes.

This course will provide ample hands on opportunities to learn and get feedback on assessment, handling and treatment of neck biomechanical issues and myofascial treatment techniques. Assessment and treatment techniques will be taught to the Canadian Orthopaedic Division and IFOMPT standards.

  • Evaluation of the Neck: clinical rationale for what you are testing and why
  • Manual Therapy Techniques: for the painful neck, hypermobile or stiff neck
  • Treatment of the Neck: Exercise progressions from early to late stage rehab to performance
In addition to Kevin’s work in the clinic, he has extensive experience teaching manual therapy and exercise courses to other physiotherapists.

He is an instructor with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and with New York-based Hands On Seminars. Kevin has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach therapists in Canada, the U.S, South Africa, Turkey and India.
