The Female Athlete: Pelvic Floor and Core Strategies for Lifting
This is an educational and practical session that will help female athletes to understand the concept of the pelvic floor/diaphragm relationship, and how to utilize this properly in your activities. We will discuss the importance of breath, posture, and strategy in lifting/exercise and help you to identify areas of improvement, and how to know if your system is not tolerating the load well, as well as signs of pelvic floor dysfunction.
