I earned both my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology in Physical Activity and Sports Performance at the University of Alberta. Throughout my post-secondary education, I was actively involved in various research projects including work related to care delivery for joint arthroplasty patients and studies related to the mechanics of squat exercises. My practice is founded on a strong research focus and application of that in the clinical setting. I believe in understanding the biomechanical and applied anatomy of human movement, and using this as the foundation of treatment.
I’m also passionate about coaching Olympic Weightlifting and working with athletes to maximize their performance and reduce injuries. I presently coach various levels of Olympic weightlifters from the junior to master’s levels, as well as novice and national level lifters and also work as a strength and conditioning coach with several sports teams in Edmonton.
