Biography
I graduated from MacEwan University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2018. During both of these programs, I worked in the roles of both a physiotherapy assistant and a receptionist at all of our clinic locations, which is what drove my passion to work in this profession.
I grew up playing many competitive sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Although my participation in organized sports ended after high school, I continued to play on recreational teams throughout university. Throughout my university years, I gained a particular interest in being active outdoors, and this is met by road trips to the mountains for a hike, or riding in the annual MS bike tour.
As someone who has been at the mercy of my injuries while growing up, I understand the position many patients are in. I firmly believe that my role as a physiotherapist is to work in collaboration with my patients, with the goal of empowering them with knowledge. I strive to help people return to their activities, with the ability to independently manage their injuries both short and long term.
