Biography
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. During my Master’s, I worked as an Exercise Specialist for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions.
I also worked as Strength and Conditioning coach and Athletic Therapist Assistant for youth soccer teams and the United Women’s Soccer team in St. Albert. Having worked with individuals of various abilities, I take a passionate approach to my work and try best to tailor my treatments to suit the goals of each patient.
As an ex-competitive soccer player and current long-distance runner, I have often suffered from injuries that have prevented me from participating in the activities that I enjoy. Being familiar with the frustration of injury, I strive to help others understand their bodies and give them the tools to return to their daily activities and feel confident doing so.
Anywhere from helping you walk your dog pain-free or returning to the sport you love, I provide evidence-informed treatments with emphasis on education and exercise along with manual therapy in order to help you feel better and achieve the best possible outcomes.
In my spare time, I continue to challenge my body and stay active with running, weight training, and yoga. I love spending time in the mountains with both hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
In -40 weather, you’ll find me reading books under a blanket or planning my next trip out of the country.
