Biography
Coaching is my passion. Returning to school for exercise science in 2017 at the age of 35 was one of the best decisions I have made as it allowed me to strengthen the skills I was using as a coach. This allowed me to expand my coaching to a broader audience and provide quality service to more individuals.
I have been a coach since 2011 and had the privilege of guiding a wide range of people to reach their goals with most of them surpassing them. Having taken the Dr. Sims “Women are not small men” course allows me to program more focused sessions for each individual female I coach.
In 2019, I posted my fastest 70.3 triathlon time along with running a 1:29 half marathon off a 90km bike. This same year I raced both Vulcan and Elkford triathlons on back-to-back days winning them both. This is not to brag, just a confirmation to you that as a self coached athlete, I can help you reach your goals.
I’ve used a tested and true system to develop provincial champions in cross country and indoor track. Using the 4 F’s guides everything I do while programing for anyone I coach. Far, Fast, Force, Fun.
Also, during the pandemic, I used that time to increase my knowledge and take the Precision Nutrition Level 1 course. It really helped affirm that nutrition was the base for all we do here at The Bridge. Without good nutrition and recovery tactics, all else will fail.
With certifications from CSEP, AFLCA, NCCP and many more, I believe an educated coach is the base of a strong daily life and a resilient athletic life.
