Biography

I completed my Bachelor of Science at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, obtaining the Governor General’s Silver Medal for the highest academic standing in my undergraduate degree. I then graduated from University of Alberta with my Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2014, again being awarded top academic standing with the Canadian Physiotherapy Award.

I specialized in musculoskeletal physiotherapy by completing my Series 1 and Series 2 certifications from the Swodeam Institute of Manual and Manipulative Therapy, thereby classifying me as an Advanced Certified Manual Therapist (A.CMT). I’m also certified in dry needling techniques including Biomedical Dry Needling (CBDN) and have taken the AA1 AFCI Acupuncture course.

I’m a Certified Complete Concussion Management Practitioner (CCMI) and experienced in assessing and treating these mild traumatic brain injuries. In addition, I’ve several other courses including the prevention of running injuries, functional training for sport, massage/manual therapy techniques through Blaine Mackie and Charlie Kelly, and several online courses including the Functional Stability Training Series by Mike Reinold and Eric Cressey.

I enjoy working with all athletes of any level of competition, however being born and raised in Prince George, BC, I grew up playing competitive hockey and soccer and have a particular interest in working with these athletes. My passion is utilizing physiotherapy knowledge and techniques to optimize and bridge the gap from rehab to performance, and my treatment style integrates strength and conditioning concepts within the realm of physiotherapy. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy weightlifting, running, playing sports such as soccer and hockey, traveling and cheering on the Vancouver Canucks.
