Biography
I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and a Master’s of Coaching. My Master’s research focused on sociocultural aspects of injury rehabilitation, specifically the experiences of female athletes recovering from ACL injuries. While studying at the U of A, I competed for the Pandas basketball team for five seasons.
After completing my Master’s degree I worked as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at MacEwan University, where I managed athlete development. After this, I moved to Sherwood Park Sports Physiotherapy. Through my experiences as an exercise therapist, researcher, coach, and athlete, I have developed a passion for helping people bridge the gap between their clinical rehabilitation and performance – in sport, work, and life.
