Biography

I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012 and my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2014. I moved to Lethbridge after graduating and worked for several years at local clinics before realizing that my idea of physio was quite different than what was being offered. This led to me branching out on my own and opening my own clinic (Velocity Physical Therapy in 2019) in order to pursue my vision for rehab and performance before teaming up to create the Bridge!

I have been a multi-sport athlete all my life, with my main focus being on soccer (playing in the ACAC and Edmonton Premier/Major Leagues during my undergrad). Since then I have gone back to my multisport roots through triathlons, bouldering, different types of training, and of course – still playing soccer. My husband and I love the outdoors and get out to the mountains as often as we can.

Working with athletes has always been my passion! I love that they are a population that allows me to blend my nerdy fascination with movement/mechanics with my love of fitness and sport performance. My focus is on working with athletes to help them move better, to understand their body better and become more resilient – with manual therapy and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) as needed to kickstart things. From rehab to performance, I love empowering athletes throughout their journey to be at their best.
