Biography
In my youth, I was involved in competitive dance and gymnastics and had a great love for climbing trees and the outdoors in general. So it seems I was destined to discover rock climbing, which combined my interests into one tidy passion! As a young adult, climbing consumed my every thought and I eventually packed my Chevy Sprint with necessities and my cat and I moved to Canmore where I pursued climbing in every way I could.
Fast forward about 15 years after retiring from the climbing world and I found myself working as a Physio Aide at Sherwood Park Sports Physiotherapy. Having the good fortune to help clients as well as learn from the amazing staff of trainers and physiotherapists, I eventually wanted to offer more and decided to return to school in 2017 to attend Makami’s 3000-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program. Returning to school was a fascinating journey and I was honoured with the Champions of Makami Award for top marks in my class and nominated to be a mentor for other students.
Having personally benefited from massage therapy treatments during times of intense training and after various accidents and injuries, I am passionate about helping others feel their best so they can return to, or simply continue to, enjoy their passions. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and our two dogs, doing various physical activities and learning to hone my skills painting.
